Biografía del autor

Sarah Milroy is Chief Curator at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. A highly respected art critic and exhibition curator, she has contributed to more than a dozen books on art, including Mary Pratt, From the Forest to the Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia, and David Milne: Modern Painting. Maud Lewis (1903-1970) was a folk artist from Nova Scotia. She lived most of her adult life in a small one-room house in Marshalltown, Nova Scotia, where her paintings quickly attracted a growing audience. Her paintings were marked by her use of bright colours and depictions of flowers, animals, and outdoor scenes.
