Paperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. On 8th March 2022 the former Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, was 'convicted' of being a 'serial bully and a serial liar'. Not only was he forbidden from obtaining a Parliamentary pass but he was, as a consequence of this decision, the first Speaker of the House of Commons to be refused a peerage so that he could never enjoy Parliamentary privilege again. The problem was that the process by which he was 'convicted' was deeply flawed and sets a dangerous precedent that could seriously undermine parliamentary democracy. Far from being '89 pages of damning evidence', closer inspection of the inquiry into Bercow's conduct shows that the report was flimsy in substance, unprofessional in its methods, politically motivated, contemptuous of natural justice and - on occasion - quite ridiculous. It is abundantly clear that the political establishment contrived and conspired to silence Bercow for a range of motives and were prepared to use any means necessary. John Bercow was never permitted an appeal in this Kangaroo Court farrago. The book represents the case for the defence which was never properly heard or revealed. Read now before it is silenced too. Paperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. Richard Ramirez, popularly known as the Night Stalker, was sentenced to death for the murders of 13 People in 1989. Ramirez was therefore one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history. He was never executed and instead died on death row awaiting his appeal to the Ninth Circuit. However, Ramirez's appeal was never heard. Following extensive research, astonishing facts have been uncovered which cast serious doubts about whether Ramirez committed any of the crimes for which he was convicted. The police investigation was seriously flawed with coercive, unprofessional methods being deployed in order to satisfy a lazy desire to offload as many cold cases onto any vulnerable scapegoat they could find. Furthermore, Ramirez's trial - which should never have taken place because of serious psychological and cognitive issues - was nothing short of farcical. We have provided comprehensive details of the crimes, the investigations and the court processes. We invite the reader to judge for themselves whether or not Richard Ramirez was guilty or the victim of one of the most astonishing miscarriages of justice. Could it be possible that the real killer - or killers - who terrorised Los Angeles in the 1980s managed to get away with their despicable crimes?
