The country house number of The Architectural Record is embedded in twenty-six pages of mostly illustrated advertising at front, and twenty-two pages at rear, including a beautifully executed color lithograph on heavy paper by Ernest Born for Fletcher Granite on page twenty-six, and two color illustrated ads for the Penberthy Injector Company, Detroit, and Brixment, a cement for masonry and stucco, by the Louisville Cement Company. The annual Country House Number includes extensive coverage of the house of Frederic Rosengarten in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, including architectural plans for the three-story building by architects Willing, Sims and Talbutt, and ten b/w reproductions of photographs showing the exterior and interior of the luxurious house. Included are photographs of the houses of Mrs.Edgar Baker, the estate of Henry T. Fleitman, and the house of John Eyre Sloane, among others, all with architectural plans. The issue also includes photographs of the exterior, and architectural plans, for the House of Frederick V. Field, a modern design the architects Howe and Lescaze, with steel framing and concrete slabs, and five photographs of the modern interior and furniture of a house in the "Werkbund Siedlung" in Vienna, designed by architect Leonie Pilewski.
