Horizontal exhibition announcement for a traveling show of the photographic work and a film by Canadian artist Gregory Colbert. This iteration of the show was held in a 58,000 square foot temporary structure built near the pier in Santa Monica, California, and took place from January 14 to May 14, 2006. A small two-sided info sheet with details of the exhibition is laid in. See photos. Very good condition.

Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Book is VG+ to NF. Stated first edition (publication info on final page). Volume has a thick paper cover which is held closed with a string tied to a flap of the cover. The book is stylized to look old and worn - the cover has chips and rips along the edges; the paper is printed to look like it has staining, mold, and creasing; there are handwritten notes on the text printed on the pageto look authentic. As a result, it's a bit tricky to assess condition - but it appears that the book is very close to the condition it was issued in. There's some widening in the gutters in spots with binding thread visible - the glue in the binding seems to have set a bit over time, and can be heard when opening the binding in certain spots. No pages appear to be ripped or damaged. There appears to be no writing or markings from previous owner(s).

In April of 2002, I personally contacted the Ashes And Snow exhibition staff and ordered these 5 catalogues direct from Venice. They are breathtakingly beautiful - hand made of Japanese paper with a bamboo strip and natural fiber cord tie. Each catalogue is stamped "Ashes and Snow" with the appropriate book number 1-5 and contains 22-25 Gregory Colbert images which are truly stunning.
