This book includes facsimiles reproductions of the most famous printed volumes of 15th and 16th century Italy, used as the centerpiece of Italy's participation in the 1900 Paris Exposition. Includes three tipped on full color plates and numerous others in black and white. One of 750 copies published, this copy out-of-series and not numbered, with the word "imperfect" in Orcutt's own hand on the plain brown dustjacket. The only imperfection we found was a misnumbered page; other imperfect copies we have owned, coming from the same source, have had plates excised, etc. Light blue paper covered boards with dark blue spine, gilt spine lettering, paper label on front cover, gilt top, other edges uncut, 220 pages, original brown kraft paper dustjacket as issued.
