In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. This book is straight and tight, pages yellowed, but no marks found. The jacket shows fraying, some tears, a couple of small chips and is now in protective cover. Howard Pease had his first short story published in 1921. He is most well-known for his books featuring the adventures of a young Tod Moran. Pease tried to write more realistic books for children especially young boys who were not often represented in children's novels. He also had a depth of unrecognized social commentary, and his novels hold up well in the present day. Night Boat contains seven short mysteries and a novella from around the world "as told to Pease by Tod Moran and Captain Jarvis during their rest stops in San Francisco". Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
