He has dedicated his career to portraying famous individuals and showcasing their stories in numerous photo books. The Onsen Geisha is an unconventional artistic project where the author creates a small world reminiscent of Toulouse Lautrec's interventions in the world of Parisian brothels. Onsen, a resort designed for healing and entertainment in hot springs, is a favorite Japanese weekend activity. Recently, it has become challenging to find a resort that offers geisha services. Hirachi's poetic optics do not depict onsen geisha as snow fairies in a surreal neverland. His documentary book makes them more visible, calling them by names and narrating their stories.
